the [Queen] of wishful thinking.

this picture is relatively old but i’m still in love with it. i love her, i love her hair, i love her dress, i love her tights. love, love, love.
I cannot say enough how much I love Blair Waldorf. and not just because she is hands down the most fun character to watch. she can be a bitch, yes, but I truly admire her will to conquer and get what she wants.
how often do I bend over backwards to make other people happy and end up miserable as a result? far too often. the truth is “we are the only friends we’ve got”, we’re the only people we can TRULY depend on, and we need to look out for ourselves.
I’m planning on going into business and I’m planning on making money. of course, ethics and doing the right thing are and will continue to be important to me. but I’m not going to allow myself to be taken advantage of and I am going to get my way whenever possible.
so why not start the revolution right now? I am going to make sure I get my needs met. I am going to make sure no one walks all over me. from now on, I’m going to ask myself “What Would Blair Waldorf Do?”
while home sick from work, I watched season 1 of gossip girl in two days.
I don’t think I’ve ever sympathized with or related to a tv character as much as Blair Waldorf. I mean, sure, she’s absolutely prettier, skinnier, richer, and better than me and my life in every way. but I relate to her to the core.
